Artist, Emma Stothard unveils her 3-meter-tall sculpture of a Green Hairstreak Butterfly, titled, ‘Spurn Butterfly’, at Spurn Head in Yorkshire, which has been commissioned by Yorkshire Coast BID in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, as part of a new coastal sculpture collection, from Staithes to Spurn Point. Theo Cullen (5) takes a closer look. Picture date: Thursday August 26, 2021. PA Photo. The sculpture, which is made from copper wire, is the first in the collection to be unveiled and will eventually become Verdigris, emulating the butterfly’s natural green colour.
